This experiment is the same as the last two 100 games sessions that I had played against Snowie and XGR++. I did consistently and unconditionally doubled after Gnubg's opening with 62 or 63 and also slotting in it home board (whether hitting me or not), during the first few rolls. I didn't get to double after Gnubg's opening 64's because unlike the other two bots, it prefers to make its 2-point. My results based on my errors rates (9.13 checker, 29.83 cube and 12.96 overall) were effective +20 vs. expected -80. I was beyond amazed to see that these numbers were almost exactly the same as against XGR++: (8.97 checker, 29.39 cube and 12.80 overall) effective +56 vs. expected -140 points won. Those were in turn very similar to my results against Snowie and to last year's results against XGR++ and Gnubg Grandmaster. Interesting to note is that my previous test against Gnubg Grandmaster had 4,590 total moves and 178(MK)+103(bot)=281 total points won by both players (16.33 moves/point) vs this test's 4,066 moves and 158+138=296 points (13.73 moves/point). In contrast, my test against Snowie had 3,327 moves and 198+102=300 points (11.09 moves/point) and my test against XGR++ had 3,761 moves and 209+153=362 points (10.39 moves/point). It seems that playing against both Gnubg Grandmaster and 4-ply was more tedious than against Snowie and XGR++. Doubles during the first four rolls in the above order were 3(MK)+13(bot)=16, 2+9=11, 5+22=27, 7+18=25. This (and the longer game lengths) is probably due to Gnubg's dice being "smoothed out"(??). These 100 games took longer to play but still were finished as one uninterrupted session within less than two full days, using ANSI dice roller and 525 (i.e. May 25) as the seed. Finally, lo and behold, another high cube win for me in the fourth! game. Nothing I can do other than to repeat that even if you exclude it, my results are still mind boggling, more so because of my experimental opening roll doublings, etc. If you look at that game, however, you may conclude that I confused the blunder out of the bot and well earned it. :) Another interest game is the last one. Just when I thought I was going to gammon the bot, I ended up getting gammoned instead, while holding a 4 cube, and lost 8 points. :( A sure proof that the bot cheats ;)
